Zweigelt , Rösler , Rathay
Site, Vineyard and Soil
Kräutergarten in Oberwaltersdorf, Alluvial gravel soil
Ruby red, becoming more cherry red at the rim. In the nose there's a mix of red berries, blackheart cherries and herbs from the kitchen garden; juicy fruit meets cool freshness. On the palate, red jelly and red currants. A whiff of thyme and juniper. Luxuriant and smooth. A wine for summer evenings with the picnic basket in the park; a faithful accompanist that adapts continually but never imposes itself.
For summer dishes, prosciutto with Parmesan, dishes with basil, grilled and light meets. Actually goes well with most light cuisine.
Slightly chilled, 14°C.
Harvested by hand, destemmed, partially crushed. With the Zweigelt, Rösler and Rathay, all grapes are crushed. Pressed sevem to fourteen days after the start of fermentation, with élevage in stainless steel tank and partially in used barriques.
Acidity 5,5 g/l, Alcohol 12,5 % Vol., Residual Sugar 4,1 g/l
