Our Winery

When the grapes have been picked and brought into the winery, one thing is clear: If the work in the vineyards during the growing season was successful, then the grapes will provide the perfect basis for a great vintage. Heinrich Hartl sees his role as one of accompanying his wines and of selecting, from among the thousands of options available, the best possible methods for transforming the grapes into wine.

This exciting and unique challenge is different every year, indeed every day. In fact, on a given day individual batches of grapes from one and the same vineyard can require different handling in the winery.

But one thing is the same for all wines: The grapes need to be handled as gently as possible. Grapes and must both need to be moved exclusively by gravitation.
