Site, Vineyard and Soil Kräutergarten in Oberwaltersdorf, alluvial gravel soil with a surface layer of 50cm heavy sandy drifted soil.
Description
Almost white, bright greenish gold. In the nose the wine is fresh and fine of fruit; notes of grapefruit, jasmine, kiwi fruit and yellow tea roses. Grapefruit again on the palate with a bit of white pepper, rosemary and a light touch of nutmeg. The Rivaner is refreshing with its lively acidity and its lemony-mineralic finish. As a lightweight, it is the perfect summer-on-the-patio or grilling wine.

By itself as an apéritif in the summertime, with salads, fresh goat cheese with acacia honey & figs; vegetable quiche, raw vegetables with a lemon dipping sauce.
